maybe it’s because i’ve been watching so much Awkward (which you should be doing too!), but i’ve been thinking about how much of my identity/view of myself was shaped in high school. for those of us who had a very unkind view of ourselves — do we ever get over it?

It’s hard not to approve of someone who’s friends with Ryan Reynolds and has already perfected the art of the serious eyebrow. Louis takes his role as a public figure seriously, and I respect that. (I also invented that.)

Gorgeous! I CANNOT WAAAIIT!!! I always have to listen to U2’s album October during the month of October. Woop woop!
i’m not much of a U2 fan (i know, sacrilege) but sometimes the only thing that gets me through parts of the year is knowing that Fall is on the way with all its pretties.

It is bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. It can go anywhere in time and space and sometimes even where it’s meant to go. And when it turns...

NYC wasn’t hit nearly as hard as was expected, thank goodness, but we got it far worse up here than i had expected. there was a TON of flooding in the next town over and i am incredibly grateful that we didn’t have to deal with that. i keep watching friends’ videos and i’m a little in awe of how the “end of days” media coverage has done nothing to cover this....

“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” — Leo Buscaglia

Nobody picks Choice A
drst:
I just got a call from a polling company and one of the questions was about the state of the economy. The first choice was “excellent” and I asked the guy, “Has anyone chosen that?” and he said, “Well, no.”

of the very many amazing stories told in this piece interviewing gay servicemen about the end of “don’t ask, don’t tell” and the long road it took to get here, this is the one that kind of killed me.

Does that answer your question?
ANDREW: You know, Bender -- you don't even count. I mean, if you disappeared forever it wouldn't make any difference. You may as well not even exist at this school.
BENDER: What do you care what I think, anyway? I don't even count, right? I could disappear forever and it wouldn't make any difference -- I may as well not even exist at this school, remember?
