FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE UNDERSTANDS ABOUT THE TOO MUCH CAKE FROSTING.
it truly is THE WORST. i can do A LOT of whipped cream, but not a lot of frosting. and cakes with frosting IN THE MIDDLE skeeves me out. there is no need for that!
also — i do not like drinking soda with ice cream cake. it’s all sorts of gross. it squicked me when i was young, at roller-skating birthday parties, and it squicks me now. it’s TOO MUCH SUGAR/SWEETNESS.

Cake without frosting is what I prefer. Lemon cake no frosting is my favorite cake. But I like pie.
that sounds delightful! i like lemon cake a lot. and chocolate cake. i usually make black bottom cupcakes for my birthday which do not need frosting at. all.
(i just found this recipe which includes bananas — i might need to try that this year!)
